What Does Hypnosis Feel Like?
Updated: Aug 4, 2019
Many clients ask me to explain what hypnosis feels like and what they'll experience. While the experience is different for each individual, through dozens of sessions, I've discovered that there are some common characteristics that most clients experience.
Deep Relaxation - The depth of hypnosis varies by individual but most clients report that they experience a deep sense of relaxation or meditative state.
Time Distortion - I usually ask clients how long the session felt like. Most sessions are about an hour but the client's response varies greatly. What's an hour may sometime feel like 10-15 minutes for some clients while other clients may experience a much longer journey.
Heightened Senses - Clients will often tell me in an imagery session that they experienced the most beautiful place they've ever seen. They report seeing beautiful images, unlike anything they've ever experienced before.
Wanting to Return - Clients often comment that they want to return again. They often comment on how beautiful their experience was.
Restful Sleep - Clients report back that after a session they experience very restful sleep.
Guided imagery can take you anywhere you could possibly imagine. Is there a trip you've always wanted to go on, a relaxing beach, or a beautiful garden? Have you ever wanted to go sky diving or mountain climbing but were too afraid? Through hypnosis and guided imagery, you can have that amazing experience.
We often get caught up in the day-to-day stresses of life. Hypnosis can provide that escape you need to release all of that stress and anxiety. It's a way to simply let go and experience an amazing journey.
